Your Balance Just Dropped Below…..

posted by YNF

There have been a lot of requests lately to have a text that alerts you to when your checking drops below a certain dollar amount or when you are close to your credit limit. Funny thing is, America First has been offering this service for quite some time. Most members just don’t know about it. So, here are the details:

Log in to Online Banking, and select “e-Alerts” from the options on the left column. Choose as many alerts as desired.

To receive e-alerts on your mobile phone, just enter the Text Message address for your phone in the “e-mail address” field when activating your alerts in Online Banking.

Not sure what your phone’s text messaging address is? Not a problem. Wireless Text Messaging addresses usually consist of your ten-digit cellular phone number (without dashes), followed by “@” and the service provider’s domain name.  Below is a list of some common wireless phone service providers, and the Text Message address formats they use.

Please be aware that some wireless service providers charge a nominal fee per text message received or sent. If your wireless carrier is not listed, or you have trouble receiving a text message, please contact the carrier directly.

This is a good idea. If, in the future, I don’t keep track of my accounts as well as I do now, I will be down with using this to make sure I don’t get any fee’s or anything.

I love this feature about america first. It will tell me right when I go into my line of credit and then I can just pay that off.

I am definitely signing up for this awesome alert. I don’t like going into my line of credit because it gets interest fast, so the less I have to pay in interest the more I can save!!!!

I think it’s way cool that the credit union offers this :)

I don’t have this option set up, but my hubby does. It’s so awesome! :)

This would be amazing for members of AFCU, there are tons of people that have no idea about their balances!

I am probably going to go and sign up for it right now!

I wonder if T-Mobile charges a nominal fee for it?

I love when comapies say it is a “nominal fee.” If it is so nominal how come they don’t pay for it?
