Today I had to go down to court and testify against someone who had stolen some checks and tried to cash them at America First. I saw the defendant whom I had personally called the police to have arrested, looking much different than the last time I saw this individual (about five months ago). It made me think about what must be going through this person’s mind.
I pass this story on to you let you know that no matter how hard things may get or how desperate you may think the situation is, criminal behavior is not worth it. Most likely this person will be going to jail for the next five years. There is help available to those who will ask for it. I don’t mean this to be a downer post, but it just really made me sad to think that to some people, there is no other option.
I agree it really is not worth it! My mom is a cop for salt lake and you would not believe the stories she tells us. What are you kidding me criminals?
Its sad that people steal. I wish they would just stop and think about if it were to happen to them and how they would feel if there things were stolen and realize its not worth it because eventually they will be caught. I had my snowboarding jacket and a pair of pants stolen from my car three weeks ago. It sucked so bad.
Stealing is lame!! My car was broken into while I was at a midnight premier for a movie. Needless to say, the movie wasn’t nearly as much fun as it could have been. The police never did find any of the stuff that was stolen. Stupid criminals.
This last New Year’s was spent at a church gym eating food, playing board and Wii games, and shooting some hoops. At 5 minutes to midnight, 3 random guys came in and ate our food and swiped a basketball as we kicked them out. It definitely put on a downer on the evening. Even when you least expect it, dishonest people are everywhere.
mmm…that sucks!!! my house was broken into right before finals and my teacher didn’t believe that i lost everything…good thing i was able to write up a paper over night. STILL SUCKED!!!
